Scholarship Overview

• Fields of Study: Honours and MSc in Botany or related studies.
• Value: R15,000 for Honours studies (1 year) and R50,000 for MSc studies (2 years, R25,000 each year).

Eligibility Requirements

• Residency: Must be a resident of one of the SADC countries (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Angola, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Seychelles, Mozambique, Mauritius, Madagascar, Comoros).
• Academic Performance: Must have graduated with a minimum overall average of 70%.
• Current Study: Must be studying towards a postgraduate qualification at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa.
• Supervisor: Must have a supervisor who is a paid-up member of SAAB.
• MSc Students: Must have graduated with a BSc Honours degree with a minimum overall average of 70% and be in the first year of MSc study.
