The successful candidate will join a dynamic team and be required to sign a performance agreement to ensure accountability and excellence.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric). A qualification in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry will be an added advantage.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of building infrastructure layouts.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Competencies: Strong communication skills, reliability, teamwork, and innovation.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a pre-entry practical exercise to assess their suitability for the role.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Handyman will play a vital role in maintaining the High Court premises, including:
- Performing minor general building maintenance.
- Attending to minor plumbing and electrical tasks.
- Conducting routine inspections of the building weekly and monthly.
- Reporting unauthorized equipment movements and property damage.
