This program seeks students who meet the following requirements:

  1. Academic Criteria:
    Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate (matric) with minimum level 4 pass marks (50%) in these subjects:
  • Physical Science
  • Biology/Life Sciences
  • Mathematics
  • English

Applicants must have a university entrance pass and should not have enrolled in any higher education institution (public or private). Furthermore, candidates who have received prior bursary funding are not eligible for this opportunity.

  1. Location and Residency:
    Only individuals who are South African citizens, permanently residing in Gauteng, are eligible to apply. Candidates must have completed their matriculation in Gauteng.
  2. Age Criteria:
    Prospective students must be aged 18–30 years as of the application’s closing date.

  • Identification document (applicant and parents/guardians).
  • National Senior Certificate (matric certificate) and transcript of results.
  • Proof of income for both parents/guardians. For those without income proof, sworn affidavits should be provided.
  • Proof of residence, validated by the Ward Councillor or Municipality Bill.
