Key Responsibilities: General Worker Jobs
- Perform general cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste removal
- Maintain clean surfaces in aisles, shelves, restrooms, and staff areas
- Restock consumables such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
- Report maintenance issues (broken lights, equipment malfunction, safety hazards)
- Ensure safe use and proper storage of cleaning chemicals (per SDS guidelines)
- Adhere to Dis-Chem’s hygiene and safety protocols
- Provide friendly and efficient cleaning service without disturbing customers
Requirements: General Worker Jobs
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Prior experience in retail cleaning or facilities preferred
- Able to lift up to 15 kg and stand for extended periods
- Character traits: reliable, punctual, detail-focused, and discreet
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa
